Owner is a rip off artist

I bought I very expensive over priced leash and collar for my beautiful golden doodle and was proud to do so since the color of the leash and collar was this beautiful color orange that I loved on him. So I buy the set for well over $200 just so that in three months the color of the orange on the collar completely faded to this burnt non existent orange as well as the leash. They blamed the dog groomers with the chemicals they use and I asked the dog groomers if they keep the collars on them and they absolutely hands down said no or we would not be able to get their necks clean properly. To make a long story short. I go into Ritzy and tell them I am very unhappy with what happened to the leash and collar and the only reason I bought the set that was over priced was because I loved the color which suited my doggie very well. They couldn't have cared less that the color faded and that I was unhappy. He blamed the dog groomers but what about the leash I said. The owner of Trixie said, "It's not our fault so we are not going to do anything about it." This went on for ten minutes with customers in the store. I was so upset and had no recourse. All I wanted was a new set. I was not asking for my money back. I loved the set but the color was gone and for such an expensive item I was furious. I wear leather shoes in the rain and snow and that never happens to them where the color fades but maybe over a year or so of wear and there are a lot of chemicals on the streets of Manhattan so I knew in my heart these people were full of dog doo. I have never gone in there again.

Please do not buy from a store where they would treat a client as they did with me. There are way too many other wonderful dog stores in Manhattan that would honor their products integrity and not be so out right dismissive. They are thieves are far as I am concerned. Please heed this. I only want what's best and these people are out for the ole mighty dollar and not for the dogs or your sake or the integrity of a product they sell. They wouldn't even get the guy who makes them return it. They said they spoke to him and he said that never happens unless there is a chemical involved. Well Ritzy Canine was pretty amused by this conjecture. Who by the way are a fantastic pet place.

terrible customer service and exchange policies

They refused to exchange a defective product within a week of purchasing, even when presented with a receipt. They lied about not having any inventory of a similar product ( we were willing to settle for any variation)
