Yes, it may appear crowded and chaotic upon entering, but this is by far the best hands-on, full-service independent hardware store around. Not only is the owner incredibly knowedgeable, but he is able to cram a lot more than one might think in the shop. He will either hand you exactly what you need, or put it on order for the next day. A real old-fashioned shop with plenty of character. Never a bad experience.
