Provided by YPmobileBack in the late 1950's would go to a great Chinese Restaurant in Chinatown on Mott Street called So Lee's. Remember owner telling me snow peas a great delicacy in China at the time. Great food.

Provided by YP.comDo not believe ANY of the negative reviews. They are ALL lies. We have been going there once, twice or 3 times a month for 8-10 years and have never had a bad dish or experienced poor service. Often you have to wait on a line going up the stairs, sometimes down the block. Why would people go there and wait 15-45 minutes if it's bad? The won ton soup is the best; the egg rolls are superb and the roast pork (and other) chow fon is what I want for my last meal. The only chow fon that was better was served at the long gone Lin's Garden on Bayard St. (and maybe the also gone Hong Fat on Mott). Tea and great NYC water are served when you sit down and you can sit as long as you want to. Everyone that goes there loves it. I have been around the world wearing my Wo Hop t-shirt and someone always says, "Oh yeah! Wo Hop!" Our picture (and many others) hangs on the wall and it's fun being recognized occasionally. We used to go to many other restaurants in Chinatown and many are very good, with their own lines, but we always return to the best. Sometimes if we cannot spend time waiting, we will go to Hop Kee or someplace else but Wo Hop (downstairs only) is number 1. No longer open 24 hours, but until 4am, I think.

Provided by YP.comI can't believe this is the same wo hop i used to go to in the early 90's! I couldn't even eat one of the dishes, i'm not sure if the management changed because the food is totally not the way I remembered it.

Provided by YP.commy co-workers son that lives in NYC recommended Wo Hop. I took my mother and daughter last week while we were on vacation from Texas. We stood in line for about an hour, but it was well worth the wait. The price we a nice break from all the other places we had eaten at in NYC. Also folks in front of us had driven two hours to come have dinner at Wo Hop. They said they make the trip about every three months to get their Wo Hop fix. It was fun waiting in the line and heading down the stairs. The place was soooo small, but totally cool! I loved the pics all over the wall and intend on send one to them the Dallas Cowboys new home. We are use to the small little egg rolls we get here so we ordered two orders of egg rolls. Big mistake the rolls are LOGS!!! They were huge! We noticed the portion size on the food was huge as well so we shared. The food was awesome! The staff was fun. the check was small. It was by far the BEST meal we had on the whole trip. Thanks Wo Hop!

Provided by YP.comYes; I prefer the upstairs one. It's less of a fire trap. Both have great food for the price.
