I purchases a set of bed linens on sale from the Madison avenue store a few months ago. I did not use them right away, In fact the bottom sheet is still in its original packaging a few months later. I opened it and washed the top sheet recently (as instructed before first use.) When I put them on teh bed, I notice spot, maybe oil stains on several areas of the sheets. It has been washed with other white linens, none of which had stains. When I asked them for an exchange I was told I should have inspected the sheet before I washed them. Why would anyone think to inspect $200.00 sheets. They refused any accommodation, although I still had the original packaging. This is a luxury linen store. Macy's would have been far more accommodating. So would have other luxury linen places, like DSlinens.
