First Presbyterian Church of Newark Welcome to Newark First Presbyterian Church, Newark, CA. We welcome everyone. We pride ourselves on a multi-cultural congregation that is learning to follow Jesus Christ. JESUS LOVES YOU! No experience required. Come join us! Service Time Sunday morning at 9: 00AM we offer a blended worship service. We also have a Children's Church and we provide childcare during the service. Sunday morning at 10: 30AM we offer a contemporary worship service. We also have a Children's Church and we provide childcare during the service. After 2 years of searching for a new Pastor we finally have one. Pastor Garrett Yamada is the new Pastor of First Pres. Newark. To read more about him and his family click here. I have never felt more home at...

I have never felt more comfortable at a church. The people are very welcoming and Pastor Garrett gives sermons that are Christ-centered, compelling and speak to the heart. There are so many opportunities in the church to serve the community and to learn to get closer to God. The 9 AM service has a traditional style of worship which is wonderful and a 10:30 AM service that has a contemporary style of worship which has awesome music led by Sifa who is our new contemporary music director. I have been to both services and they both are great. Bottom line is that it feels like family here. Please come and you will know what I mean.
