great environment. nice staff. family friendly and affordable in todays economy. clean apartment and no bugs. So glad we chose plaza gardens in Newark. office manager was very helpful and took the time to talk with us when we first looked at the place.

Stay away from these apartments. The landlord will charge you extortion money to replace appliances that are classified as fair wear and tear. After you vacate, he will keep your deposit and drum up bogus expenses and turn it over to a collection agency. They wanted us to pay for 16-year-old carpeting and appliances. Essentially, a free renovation on my dime. I filed a BB complaint against them. They tried to claim they didn't charge me for a replacement refrigerator in 2007 when I have a receipt that they did. So they basically lied to the BB. If you do decide to move in, take video of EVERYTHING in the apartment when you move in and when you move out. This landlord is a CROOK!

Nice place to live. Very family oriented. Free heat, water , and trash. Friendly office staff and landscaped grounds.

Plaza Garden Apartments, so far, has been a great experience! The staff, Ken, Jeff, and Sandy are friendly, professional - and make you feel right at home. When I moved in, my apartment was freshly painted, very clean, I got new carpet (don't think that will always be the case) and was ready for me - on time. The apartment complex looks wonderful on the outside and the grounds are well maintained. The interior hallways are kept clean and are well lit in the evenings. There was a very minor issue in my apartment and it was taken care of post haste by their very helpful maintenance crew. This complex - when it gets wired for internet (the owner is looking into it) - will be the next place business and professional people should consider moving into. The rental staff is making concerted efforts to bring in a more professional oriented atmosphere. Rent is very reasonable. Plus, you get "free" cable television. You also don't have to pay for your heat. Great place!
