I've been a member of St. Bart's for about 5 or so years. I absolutely love this parish and would rate this as the best parish for any family in the Newaygo County area. The people are supportive and always have room for more people to help with any ministry you may be interested in being involved with in the church. The preschool/kindergarten classes meet during Sunday mass and the 1st through 5th grade children meet on Wednesday evenings. The high school ages meet on Sunday evenings for "Faith Formation" classes. Going to mass on Sunday mornings is pleasant and enjoyable and there is almost always a coffee hour after the mass to socialize or just grab a quick donut for the kids. It is hard for me to give a bad review for a church because it just doesn't seem right to do that, but I know of many people who have decided to start attending St. Bart's instead of other churches in the area for various reasons. St. Bart's is dedicated to helping others in the community and offers a "Soups On" Luncheon and also is the host for "Alcoholics Anonymous." They support "Crop Walks" and also have assembled a scholarship board to provide a little extra financial help to those who are college bound.
