Provided by YP.comMeadowbriar is easily the best place in the area for everything from boarding to training to lessons for all ages and abilities. I rode with them for 10 years and after spending time riding on both the East coast and South Florida since, I've yet to find a barn that offers as high caliber care, knowledge, and talent. The owners have created a great family-friendly atmosphere and I can't imagine a better place to ride

Provided by YP.comHands-down the best boarding/training facility in the area. I've taken lessons there for almost five years and have learned to become a much better rider. The owner is very involved with all riders with their IEA teams as well as going to HJ shows and clinics. With both indoor and outdoor arenas, we can ride any weather and the horses receive excellent care. Everyone at the barn is treated with respect and encouraged to grow in their discipline. Love that there is minimal drama...just a very supportive barn family! Highly recommend for any age rider.

Provided by YP.comThis is a great family oriented barn. The lesson programs are fantastic, beginners to advanced. The care for the horses is excellent. The owners go above and beyond to help in any capacity. I would recommend Meadowbriar to any horse owner looking for boarding or lessons. If you are into hunter/jumpers this is the place. They go to KHJA shows and others, have an IEA Team, and host a hunter/jumper show at their facility yearly.

Provided by YP.comMy horse is boarded at Meadowbriar Stables and I love it there. I have had horses all my life (am 64 yrs old) and have trail ridden, raised horses, raced horses and shown horses. I brought my horse to Meadowbriar Stables about 8 yrs ago as I did not have an indoor arena and needed one to ride daily. I have done a lot of the care of horses on my own at our farm, so going to a boarding barn was a big step for me. After a few weeks I knew it was the best decision I could have made. The barn facilities are great, the trainer works with you and your horse, her lessons are excellent and over the years I have had many lessons with many trainers so I should know. The care of the horses are great and the manager and staff carefully watches over each horse. If a horse has a health issue they work with the owner and horse to give the horse the best care. Cannot say enough good things about this barn. Even when they go to horse shows the owner has someone come and check on the horses every night. On Sat. mornings there are several jumping teams with middle school and high school students. There is a lot of energy at this barn with young people learning to care for and ride horses. It is a fun atmosphere for all ages. If a person truly loves horses and wants to be involved with horses and people that love horses this is a great place.

Provided by YP.comHorses don't get nearly enough/adequate turn out. Pastures over grazed-too many horses for acreage. Hay is awful quality. My horse had a problem and they were good about taking care of the injury. Stalls only cleaned 5 days/week. One very nice man cleans his own horses stalls on weekends and sometimes does some of the others in back barn-but stalls are disgusting on mon. And many stalls are small. Trainer/owner is 2 faced yet states she hates drama. She clearly has favorites-depends on creating a very positive relationship with family and then relies on everyone to do work for her around the barn, for shows, for everything-instead of hiring people and just taking care of stuff. If you're not part of the kool-aid gang you will know it. When things are going well it all seems fine-and trainer can be very nice, but cross her path or don't agree with her on something and you'll feel that too. We worked our butts off at the barn and always helped others-trainer would never go to any clinics with us EVER. There are young kids who feed and the main person who feeds/turns out during the week permits young school girls to help her. May not seem like a big deal but when a horse gets 3/4 of a coop of feed and the girl doesn't know how much that is-it's a problem. Plus there were times some of the people feeding didn't even know when a horse was on special feed. There aren't many options for hunter/jumper barns in the area which is a big draw back. Go across the river or change to doing eventing as there are a couple good options for that and they do some HJ shows in the off season. That's what we did and happy we did so
