Provided by YP.comThis review is from a personal experience with this company.....Had a pleasant start to our bridesmaid dress adventure to this place in 5/2014 for a OCTOBER wedding. They were absolutely wonderful. So kind and helpful. Three out of nine of us found our dresses there. Each put half down for each dress and were told they would be in the end of August (they even put in a earlier wedding date for Sept so the dresses would come faster). Our bride, being oh so organized, told us in the beginning of August to check on the dresses to make sure they are on their way in. When I went to call the store to check, their number seemed to be disconnected. I tried over and over again for days. Then called their 1-800 number listed online where they then began to tell me I was about the 10th bridesmaid to call in looking for their dresses. Not only was the website in search of the manager/owner/any employee but they were also going personally to the store and no one was ever there. Needless to say, they told me to call my bank and dispute the transactions we made with Bella Couture ASAP because he believes no dresses were ever ordered for every bridesmaid that had called him. They could not provide us with any more information. Now, we are stuck with no dresses, and half our money...gone. Luckily, our organized bride has the manager/owners phone number where she then spoke with her and she advised us our dresses would be in that week and to not worry. So we didn't worry. Up until that point where the dresses were STILL not in. Now we are 16 days from the wedding and the manager/owners decides to tell us she never had our dresses to begin with, who knows if she even ordered them. She told us she THOUGHT she had the dresses in a box that was delivered to her store...turns out they were never in that box. Now, three out of nine of us are stuck with NO dresses, and our deposit has still not been refunded. In my opinion, this is HIGHLY unprofessional. Who could pull this behavior with a BRIDE for a destination wedding in 2 weeks?! Now, because of all of this unprofessionalism, David's Bridal will be starting and finishing three, well paying bridesmaids and save a wedding in 16 days. Good luck to any bridesmaid's who decide to use this horrible company, and an apology goes out to all bridesmaids who are in the same position we are in, as well.

Provided by YP.comAs the (former)owner who dealt with the bride giving the negative review, I would like to give my side of this story.
1. Nobody raised any price on this dress. We are honest and fair with all of our customers. That's why our business' success was built on referrals from previous customers.
2. You were not given more than 10% because our gowns are already priced at MSRP set by the designer. If you wanted to pay $100 for a bridesmaid gown, then bridal boutique shopping isn't the right place for you.
3. Any price you may have received "online" for your gown may not have actually been "your gown". If you wanted to buy a sample dress or perhaps a copy from China, then you would've paid 1/2 of the price you did. In my years owning the store, I saw several "Better Priced internet Gowns" walk through my door and they are carried by brides looking for help with this poorly constructed, missing beading, cheaply made "better priced internet gown". Don't be misled. The gowns
we sell are authentic and what you see when you try it on, is what is delivered to you.
We don't overcharge nor do we charge unnecessary rush fees if they are not needed. Shipment times are set my the designers and if your wear date is after or near the shipment date then we have to rush the dress. The dress may arrive earlier than expected, but that is the designer, not us. Also, any rush fee charged is something that WE have to pay to the designer. That is why we charge you. We don't make money on rush fees.
I hope this helps you understand why your situation happened as well as educate other brides on how and why prices are what they are in the bridal business.
I always enjoyed all my brides and was proud that they chose Bella Couture as their bridal shop. Selling the bridal shop was a bitter sweet experience, but changes in life dictated the need. We selected new owners based on their love for the business and people. They are wonderful and I hope you continue to support them.

Provided by YP.comFirst of all, I want to start off with this in regards to the previous reviewers. This place is a business, and you're not watching Say Yes To the Dress. Stores won't magically give you a discount, just because you ask for it. And you should be thrilled to get your bridesmaids an extra 10% discount if you buy your dress there, and want to get their dresses there. I don't blame the owner for being annoyed.
I bought my dress here last year for my wedding in a couple weeks. It was one of the best dress experiences I had! The women at the store were all very friendly, and helpful as well. They let me pick out dresses I wanted to try on, asked detailed questions about what I was looking for, and also mad e a few dress suggestions as well. It turned out that the dress one of the clerks picked was the dress! Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend them. They are also well liked on the Knot- go to the Hudson Valley board in the community section of the site and ask around.

Provided by YP.comI tried on a dress at this store and I saw a price tag inside of it for a specific price. When I decided I wanted that dress, all of a sudden the price tag was missing and the price jumped $150. I didn't complain because the owner had spent a lot of time with me and had kept the store open after hours for me. However, I got home and found the same dress on the internet for 1/4 of the price - literally! Again, I didn't say anything even though I was upset about the huge mark-up. I then went in to pick out bride's maids dresses with my two bride's maids (I also had planned to bring my flower girls and mother to the store for their dresses) and requested a greater discount on the dresses than the 10% normally provided (even a 15% discount would have been acceptable), since the dresses were a little over $200 and I knew my bride's maids had hoped to pay closer to $100 on their dresses (especially since that cost does not include rush shipping or tax or alteration costs). The co-owner left us waiting for an answer (regarding whether they would be willing to lower the price greater than 10%) for almost 20 minutes. When she finally finished what she was doing and took the time to speak to us, it was just to let us know that the price would not be reduced further than 10%. At that point I brought up how I had spent a lot of money already in the store, that they had made a huge profit on me already, etc., and she became irate and basically threw us out of the store because she didn't want her other clients to hear us complain about the fraud. Apparently the customer is not "always right" in this store. She called the next morning to tell me that my dress had all of sudden arrived (it had not been there the night before -- was it there the whole time and they made me pay rush shipping for nothing? Or did they decide to give me a returned/used dress or sample model?) and that I should pick it up and have it altered elsewhere! I was astounded that the woman had gone this far, and now I am anxious and upset about one of the most important parts of the wedding. I will not bring the rest of my wedding party here for dresses, and I will not recommend this store in the future.

Provided by YP.comAlthough I am so upset with my encounter with this store, I'll keep this review to the point. I found the management of this store to be so rude that the bridal party. We literally walked out of the store empty handed, after the entire process of finding a dress & getting sized for it. The bridesmaids were all set to buy expensive dresses, and we asked if the manager could bring the price down a mere 10% more. The only reason we were asking for a discount in the first place was because the bride also bought her dress from this location, and later found her dress online for less than half the price she paid at this store. Even after explaining that to the Manager, she was not only unappologetic but argumentative, and refused to bring down the price. We left the store suprised and upset from this interaction. Although the seamstress and one other employee were pleasant, the co-owner/manager of this store made my experience stressful and a waste of time. I've been to other boutiques since, I wouldn't recommend this establishment
