We purchased the diamond for my engagement ring thru the internet on Blue Nile. The ring that I wanted was only available at the Ben Bridge jewelry store. The store needed about a week to set my diamond and size my new ring. They told me to call a local appraiser to have the ring appraised for insurance. They had me call Sande at American International Gemologists, the gemologists office was near the mall. I asked Sande for an appointment, I told her what day my ring would be ready and she made an appointment for me for that day. That would make it really easy for me to get this done. She called me the day before to confirm that the ring would be ready.I met her and the appraisers Norman and Amanda the next day. They did a very professional job, plus they explained everything that they did. I would recommend them for jewelry appraisals.

I bought a Rolex watch at a local estate auction. I wanted to know if it had all factory parts, if some of the watch was after market, if it needed any maintenance, and I wanted to insure it. I called around to several of the stores that sell Rolex and I was surprised that they all recommended the same company, American International Gemologists in Woodland Hills. I called over there to talk to them and spoke with Vee and Norman. After talking with them I felt that this was the place that I wanted to go to have my watch appraised. I met with Norman; he took the watch apart right in front of me and examined the whole thing. He wrote up a appraisal report, put the watch together, and explained to me which parts were factory and which ones were aftermarket. This guy knew what to do and how to do it. I was there about an hour. I took the appraisal to my insurance company AAA, and got the insurance I needed that day. This was a really good experience.
