In response to the negative review posted by UNMMEWS, please be aware that the individual is misrepresenting the situation that occurred. The consignor previously sold several items through my store and was thrilled with the results. When he brought in the figurine and told me he thought it was worth thousands, I clearly told him that if he believed that, then my store was not where he should sell it. I advised he take it and sell himself on eBay or wherever he thought he could command that price. I told him on the spot I could get no more than a few hundred for it at best. He chose to leave it with me and told me to do my best. All available sales records readily available online (and there were several) support my pricing. I successfully sold the item as promised.

As it turns out, the asking price of several thousand $ he found online was just that, an ASKING price, not a sales record, and the person asking that ridiculous price not only has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau, but also was sued by Royal Copenhagen (the maker of the figurine in question) for trademark infringement - not a reliable source of information.

Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, and I fully support free speech. But please do not let one ill-informed person's opinion shade your experience. I have 200+ very satisfied consignors and many more buyers who have had wonderful experiences with my store. Please come see for yourself. Thank you

I brought in a 1921 Royal Copenhagen figurine 12420 RC Girl from Funen Handmade by Carl Martin-Hansen almost 100 years old and a beautiful pc that I wouldn't have let go for anywhere close to what she gave it away for. Long story short, I hadn't heard from her for a month and so I called and she said she was just going to call me and is getting ready to cut checks and I said so you sold the figurine and she said yes I was excited to hear that she sold it for what I was asking because she never called to get a price reduction, she said she sold it for $230.00 so she gave me a check for $115.00. One Hundred and Fifteen Dollars WTF! I would have kept it in the family, Hillary Niblo how is this going to help my family and I take that trip up North to see family. Thanks for a kick in the teeth.

There are consignment shops and then there is Magnolia Mews that offers rock solid excellent quality goods with an upscale, but cozy interior design eye at excellent pricing. I am new to the neighborhood, but owner Hilary welcomed me like a valued customer. She has a computerized Wish List to be on the look out for me another value. I can not say enough positive things, thank you.
