Part 1 ~ The Insurance Scam: If I could give this con artist 0 stars I would. I went into his office on a Groupon special as a new patient and his insurance fraud/scam that he pulled was completely unrelated to my Groupon visit but happened during that one and only visit to his office. I waited 20 minutes in the private room before he slithered in, he talked to me for a couple of minutes and left for an additional 45 minutes before returning again to do a 3 minute procedure. When I first arrived at the Skin Clinic, I heard him mention to a patient who was on her way out of the office that she should give her insurance card to the front desk and the receptionist would check to see if the woman's insurance would cover medical grade facials as he was quite certain they would. Hmmm... I thought to myself... maybe I would ask him about this myself since I already knew we had phenomenal insurance, way better than most. Well after that long wait I was extremely ticked off, but I did ask anyways... he spent less that 5 SECONDS saying "oh yeah sure, give your insurance card to the receptionist and we will see what your benefits are for medical grade facials." He did not touch my face, examine any dermatological issues, did not look at my skin under a special light or magnifying glass, did not explain any options or procedures and showed me no products or machines that are in use there, like other dermatologists do. HE DID NOTHING! Well except for fraudulently charge Aetna Insurance company $250 for NOTHING!

IT JUST HAPPENED TO ME!



I went in for a facial and the Dr. suggested that if I gave him my insurance info that I may be eligible - so I did. I paid for the facial in full and was told that it would be billed, which I thought was great because I was told it would then be about only $20 or so.



I just got a bill from my insurance for almost $350 - listing Dr consult and medical grade treatment that I didn't get!

Now I am fighting with my insurance and they are saying I had this treatment and there is no way for my to prove otherwise.

I am so frustrated and upset - I can't afford $350. Certainly for something I never got.



What this Dr is doing is unethical and wrong. While I don't think anything will come of it I am going to report him to the AMA.

I cannot believe this place is still in business. The Dr is really pushy and looks like a guy out of a 70's porno. I felt pushed and rushed. They were pushing papers to sign for the procedure (fat transfer) even before I was able to get all my questions answered.

I also had a DMAE facial that COMPLETELY broke me out - and I am not acne prone. So I don't know what's in that stuff but I'm not going back. Too many quality places to go.

I Was Blown Away At How Badly I Was Treated



I am going to look into the history of not only the Dr but the girl that does facials.



It was so bad that I almost wonder if there is some side business going n (I have not proof of that, it was just a feeling). There was lots of whispering (some about me that were not complimentary) Can you at least wait uptime I leave?



And some of it was from the DR!!!!



I will never be back.

Listen, I understand medicine is not perfect, but I have already reported these people to the Medical board. First, they use dermaplanning (ILLEGAL!) I have watched the facial girl RE-USE a blade!!!! (Named Mimi - she should lose her license!) and the Dr that did my Lipo was never available after I had questions post. Oh, Boy he was there for my CC Card. I am so mad. It 's going to cold a lot to make me right.

I cannot believe these people are in business, or for that matter anyone in their right mind would give this Dr a license.

First, he was VERY rude and demoralizing - I felt very talked down to. He kept looking at his iphone through the while time, which again, was rude.

When I went to the bathroom it was NOT clean, which was concerning at a medical facility. When I left they didn't even say hank you or goodbye. WOW.

This place is in a pretty good area (I just moved here) so I thought I would try.The pressure during the facial to upsell services made me so uncomfortable that I actually had to ask her to just plain stop. Then there was just awkward silence.And then when I was leaving, they pushed me again! I felt worse about myself than when I went through the door.

With all the medical spas to chose from you would think that this place would step up their gave but I was dissapointed with everything. From the front reception to how long I had to wait, and then the nurse seemed irritated with ME!I asked to speak with the Dr (that was who I thought I was going to meet with - that's what hey said on the phone) but when I got therethey said he went to lunch.RUDE.

OMG this place is TERRIBLE!



I went for facial years ago and liked the girl named Krista - saw that they had the Oxygen facial Madonna does so I was all excited (even though it was expensive).



Well it's NOT! Shouldn't there be a rule about fake adverizing???? SO NOT COOL!

Skin care clinic has provided a best skin care services like Dermal fillers, acne treatments, acne scars, rosacea treatment, oxygen facial etc.

I had a very, VERY uncomfortable experience with my consulation with the Dr!

I think other women should be warned!!!!

It was just creepy, I showed him my back (acne) and he too a REAALLLYY long time looking - maybe it was nothing but I personally felt weird about it and I am not a paranoid person at all.



Just looking out for all my sisters out there!

I was told one thing on the phone and then when I got there they totslly were not honest about the products they had.



I was told by my friend not to come here but they were so cheap and things have been tight that I thought I would try - bad move on my part.



Really don't recommend at all.

Save Your Money.

Yes Shannon is still there but that's pretty much the only thing that is good about this place - I don't think they use a maid anymore because the bathroom was pretty dirty; you'd think a medical facility would be clean.

I wouldn't even go back if they even had a Groupon at this point.

I thought the Dr was arrogant and not at all concerned with what I was concerned about. I would not recomend.



I am going back to the place I normally go. really quite rude.

NOT REALLY FEELIN' THE LOVE



I had a procedure here and I had a reaction - I am not so much upset about that (hey it can happen) as much as they were nice when they were taking my money, but as soon as I called with concerns the Dr and nurse literrally would not return my calls. Once I actually got the nurse and she pretty much blew me off.

First - It's beautiful and clean. The parking is safe (there are even security people outside because there is a bank across the street).

Second - they greet you as if you are the most important person - on a bad day, that goes a long way.

Third - the quality and skills of the staff are above what I have experienced in the past - which at 51, is alot.

Last - the prices are fair - I don't expect the bottom, because that's when you get bottom experience and maybe (!) compromised product. Good place.

This place is horrible. People there are liars, frauds and really unprofessional.

I drove a long ways to several appointments to find the office closed and never got a single phone call to either cancel or confirm my appointments.

The treatment I paid over a $1000 for did nothing for me and at no point did the doctor, Leo Wascoff, ever tell me that the treatments were not working or that we should try a different approach. In fact he is a liar and after standing me up the first time he gave me an emergency cell phone number which turned out to be a fake number and just called the office, the empty office I drove an hour to.

After telling me I was done with my treatments he continued to lie to me and tell me that he would continue to treat me until I was satisfied, that he was such a professional that he would not let me leave unsatisfied, well he refused to give me any more treatments after all of that false reassurance.

They had the best rate for the services I was seeking, but sometimes you get what you paid for or not even that! Again, I urge everyone to stay away from this place, they are liars, frauds and totally unprofessional.
