The staff are very kind and helpful to all their clients and the owners of their clients.���� I've taken my Chihuahua and Dachshund here for about two years now and I have always been pleased with the grooming done for my two pets. I highly recommend this groomer to anyone who wants to get their dog groomed.

Shirley has been grooming my dogs since she has first opened here in newport. she does excellent work. she and her staff work very hard to please all their customers, even though i myself have witnessed some of the customers rude to them. they are still nice and professional even to those customers. shirley takes good care of my dogs and everyone elses that are in her care. you wont find a better groomer or person to pamper you dog or cat. Try her, you wont like her, you will love her, but most important so will your pet.

Just took my poodle to Hugs and Kisses they did an awesome job they treated her just like their own just like she was family. I would recommend them to everyone, friendly staff very gentle!!!!!

We love Hugs & Kisses! Every time we take our two dogs in we know that they will be treated like family. This was my first experience with Hugs & Kisses. My dog arrived at 8:20 a.m., but was not ready for pick up until almost 3:00 p.m. I had an appointment so I am unsure of why it took so long, especially considering what he looked like when he was finished. Although the people that work there were very nice and prices were comparable to other groomers, they didn't seem to spend as much time on my dog as I would have hoped. Perhaps they were overbooked for the day? After further inspection of my dog, his ears were not cleaned as requested. He is a breed that gets yeast in his ears so that was an important task. He had clipper burns all over the inside of his legs and belly. I requested his fur remain at least an inch long, but he was clipped almost to the skin. I also asked for a puppy cut which I have seen before, but he was clipped the same all over, with the exception of his ears and the top of his head and his tail. His facial fur was uneven. What bothers me is that my dog is a labradoodle, but does not look like a labradoodle, at this time. I don't know what he looks like...lol! Thankfully hair does grow back. I would assume people that groom dogs on a regular basis would look at images of dogs of breeds online to see what these dogs are supposed to look like when they are groomed.

My dog was injured while in this establishment. The bill cost me $250 and the owner not only refused to take responsibility, but wrote a false statement when contacted by the Better Business Bureau. Since my problem with this place I have spoken to several people who also had problems with this grooming place. I had used them but will never take my pets back to them. Very unprofessional, rough with the animals, poor customer service, overpriced for services performed, the staff as well as the owner is extremely rude. I have owned long haired dogs for over 40 years and have never experienced the attitude I found at this establishment. If you love your pets, DO NOT take them here.

Wonderful people who love their work and the animals they work with . . The service is fast, but never rushed . . The staff always take the time to treat each animal like it is one their own . . . Gracie ( our Springer ) always enjoys her trips there . .
