Dr. Kowal is a native of Poland where she graduated from the University of Krakow with a MA in Special Education. She came to the United States to follow an entrepreneur spirit and pursue chiropractic, earning her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Sherman College in Spartanburg, SC. She graduated Magna Com Laude and received the academic achievement award for graduating Valedictorian. Dr. Kowal is Board Certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, the Virginia Board of Medicine and has also become one of the few Board Certified Atlas Orthogonalists. She has privately practiced in Detroit, MI and presently practices in Newport News and soon will expand to Williamsburg. Our clinic specializes in treating these conditions using proven methods of Upper Cervical Chiropractic, to include Atlas Orthogonal and HIO (Toggle Recoil/Palmer Method). Our doctors locate, analyze and correct the problems within your spine using non-rotational (twist-free) adjustments.
