Our carrier Michelle Barns has really gone beyond her job description adapting to our needs. My mother went from able to go out on the porch to pick up her paper to barely able to open the door. Michelle realized her needs and put her paper in a chair where she could reach it. In our recent snow storms she has continued to brave the black ice and make her deliveries. Takes a little longer to get around but amazing that she still makes it into the apartment complex as it is at the end of the complex and gets no traffic to help break up the ice.

We would like to add to the survey that we completed today. Can understand why you feel that local news should appear on the front page of the Daily Press, however, having subscribed to the Daily Press for six years back in the 1970's, we feel that this area has grown considerably and now has a more sophisticated and educated populace that national news should surplant local on the front section - unless the local news is of supreme importance. We would like to see more world and national news reported. Back in the 1970's, whole pages were filled with delicious recipes - some pages are still in my recipe file. Of course, that does date us, doesn't it?

Don't follow the address printed in the daily press for obituaries guestbook, you cannot access the guestbooks by that address! I spent an hour trying to figure out how I could post condolences.
