relative was in this hospital for a couple of weeks. I would not say that the Dr's are the best there it appears to me like a clinic. It's like certain things are not done on the weekend and most of the employees are on bankers hours. ( like a clinic) one Dr on call at night. Most of the nurses were very good this is one good thing about the hospital. However if you think you or your love one is very sick you need to go to another hospital.. Also they didn't fight at all to get him into a decent rehabilitation center. I recommend another hospital if your love one may have a serious illness.

This is my son in VA and in ...

This is my son in VA and in need of help !!!! what is this hospital doing but letting people die or suffer in pain !!!! I bet they have they animals treated this is just unhuman I am at my witts end !!!! if any body can help PLEASE !!!!

I am very tired....I am tired of sleeping maybe 4 hours of sleep waking up every 15 minutes or so because of pain where I finally have no choice but to get up out of bed, I am tired of vomiting all the time....I am just tired of life...I went to the er where I had a bp of 204/158, sweating profusely, with elevated troponin levels. I still have a 10mm kidneystone stuck in the left side with more behind it. I also have more on the right side. While I was in the hospital the doctor told me I need to get treated and see a urologist, cardiologist, pulmonary specialist, and a kidney specialist as well as a pain doctor. They know I have no insurance, They know there is no programs here to help me...One doctor told me if I want to get help I need to move out of the common wealth. So they tell me if I am not treated soon, The hospital will no longer help me, treat my pain, nothing. In the same breath health care professionals keep telling me I am going to...

I had 4 children at MIH, from 1988-2001. I had a wonderful experience. Everyone was very helpful. I can still remember the nurse Yvonne on mother baby 23 years later. I like to follow up on previous ratings of 1 out of 4 from others. It is truly unfortunate that many people do not have insurance, even with the so call "Obama" affordable health care act. Bon Secours is truly in a class by themselves. Many institutions on the peninsula will not care how you will pay your bill, but you better figure it out fast!At Bon Secours they have a program called "Advanced Patient Advocacy!" These wonderful people will go the extra mile to help you secure financial help.People need to realize hospitals provide a service/they pay their employees, medications, update equipment ect. Hospitals are in BUSINESS to help you, yes that is true, when you go to the grocery store, do you 1st sample the goods at home then pay later? Before you become indignant ask them if they have programs to help you.

I am writing the governor and all state and city officials about this

My daughter went to the emergency room with a SEVERE ear infection.. since we are new to va from cali.. she does not have ins yet as she can't afford it.. as many americans.. i met her at the hospital and was shocked at the state she was in.. just looking at her i could see she was ill.. after waiting 2 hrs. . we finally saw a dr.. nurse praticioner.. my daughter told her the backround she needed and she gave her a perscription for antibiotics.. my daughter asked for something for the pain and the woman told she could not give her anything be cause her simptons looked like she was on drugs or addicted to pain killers... i asked her to leave the room and send someone else in.. dr klossenn came in and didn ' tlook at my daughters ear or anything else... he started to ask questions and after 2 minutes said he determined she was having withdrawls from pain killers.. ?????what.. i can assure you my daughter is not a drug addict is NOT addicted to anything.. it was humiliating and i had to beg him to help her.. he also questioned why she didn't have medical ins.. she can't afford it .. simple... i asked since we are new to va where can she go until she gets ins.. free clinic or something... they were exptemely rude. and to judge in 2 minutes without and examine . blood test, drug test or anything was simply insulting.. my daughter is a great mom. participates in her daughters fourth grade class, is a girl scout leader, attends church , and help many single moms in the community by doing occasional day ,,, any one can count on her to help in any situation.. she has a heart of gold and i could not believe the way we were treated... it was insulting , degrading, and humiliating to be talked to that way. i am writing to the governor, senator, congressman, councilwoman and wavy news 10 to expose the pre-judgmental attitude that your staff has.
