I am usually pretty happy with Petco, however the manager at the store in Newport News is awful! I went in there today in search of a gate to block our staircase. After spending about 15 minutes looking at different gates, I asked my son to find somebody to help us because I had some questions about the different types of gates. He came back with what I later found out was the manager. He came up and said that they had more gates on their webpage that I could look at. Hmmm. I told him I would actually like to buy one of the gates he had in store. I just needed to know if one had a opening mechanism because it wasn't clear from looking at the package. He then told me to just open the package, take everything out and figure it out. Okayyyy . This one had been previously opened so I thought no big deal. I then asked him if he could tell me how big the spaces between yhe bars of one of the other gates were since we have a small dog. His answer was again, just open the boxes and pull them out. If need any more help let me know and he walked away! All I wanted was some info and prices and maybe advice and he was downright rude. Plus if everybody opens the boxes, you'll never know if all the parts are still in there! I left upset and went to Petsmart.
