Yesterday I was hitting (tennis) with a buddy from out of town and he asked if I knew of any good soul food restaurants in the area. I told him about how a few of the guys had been raving about The Skrimp Shack at Newmarket, and so we headed there once we finished our practice. Turned out to be an excellent choice; we each ordered the Big Cat Dinner, and were blown away by the plentiful portions we received. The catfish was fried to perfection! Only thing missing was hot sauce, but I was too hungry to ask for it (smile). Will DEFINITELY be eating at this place again...

The owners are great! They have good food and they support local charities! Great atmosphere and their workers are very friendly!
