One star is one to many. My wife and I received a $25 gift certificate and decided to use it on a Friday night. We have a 9 month old son so money is tight and would not have normally have gone out to eat. First let me say that the service was good, our waitress was very nice, so I felt bad leaving her a 10% tip. The food was terrible!! I ordered the chicken quesadilla, my wife had the stuffed sole. The quesadilla was not horrible upon first bite but as it started to cool the canned dog food esq chicken became very apparent. My wife ordered her entree under the guise that fish is healthy. It would have been had it not been covered in hollandaise sauce which was conveniently left off the menu.

Oh well lesson learned good thing we had the gift certificate.....Oh I guess we forgot to read the fine print. The gift certificate was only good if you spent $40 dollars on food, we spent $35 and the rest of our $60 dollar meal was on drinks and a tip.

I live in Newport and will definitively not be coming back until Griswold's 65+ base crowd dies off, the owners declare bankruptcy and a new owner turns the place into something worth eating at.
