Sadie Halstead Middle School provides educational programs to students in grades five through eight. Its academic curriculum includes foreign languages, health education, mathematics, music, social studies, technology education, visual arts, English, and home and career skills. Sadie Halstead Middle School maintains the SADD Club, which provides students with prevention and intervention tools to deal with the issues of underage drinking, drug use, impaired driving and other destructive decisions. The school offers a range of sports activities, such football, softball, and track and field. It is a part of the Newport School District, which serves over 1,100 students.
