Hobbton High School, founded in 1956, serves students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as English, science, social studies, family and consumer science, health and physical education, computers and math. It also provides instruction in theater arts, Spanish and agricultural education. The school offers the English as a Second Language program for students with limited English proficiency. It involves students in several extracurricular activities, such as band, chorus, quiz bowl, student government association, and science, beta, 4-H and drama clubs. The school also provides opportunities to participate in a variety of organizations, such as the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Future Farmers of America (FFA, and Family, Career, Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). Hobbton High School is a part of Sampson County Schools and is located in Newton Grove, N.C.
