Hobbton Middle School, established in 1993, enrolls more than 390 students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as English, science, social studies, math, music, and health and physical education. The school also offers special education program for students with special needs. Its library and media center stocks a variety of reading and reference materials and electronic resources. The school provides opportunities to participate in a range of athletic activities, including volleyball, football, basketball, soccer and baseball. In addition, it provides individual and academic counseling and classroom guidance to students. Hobbton Middle School is a part of Sampson County Schools and is located in Newton Grove, N.C.
