I grew up in newton and before I can even remember, my parents took me to C and N for their stake subs. I left newton in '02 for school, left for the west coast in '04 in hopes of finding a better place for myself. Currently I reside in california but returned home for a vacation. I made my usual stop at C and N only to realize that nothing had changed. The sub was exactly as I remembered it. So good...just so good. From what I've gathered the same man and women have been working their ever since I've been going. Prices are amazing, I believe under 7 bucks for the large stake sub and it's worth even more. Now that my taste buds have developed I push myself to try new things and new places. I went to the zagget/phantom gourmet stake shop in waltham rated one of the best unknown shops in the boston area...it was good but couldn't hold a candle to this shop. Do yourself a favor, support local business and check out this place out. If you like honest food, honest people and a place that feels like home, this one is for you.
