I studied at the Newtown Centre of Classical Ballet for nearly 10 years - it is the best place to study true, classical ballet. Unlike competing schools which encourage students to practice a variety of watered-down dance styles, NCCB promotes the study of the art of ballet, the technique and it's century-old principles.



The school instructs primarily in the Vaganova method of ballet technique devised by in Russia. NCCB is the type of place where technique and structure take precedence over showy recitals and expensive glittery costumes. Additionally, new artistic director Tory Gozzi is a nurturing, light-hearted and approachable leader - the perfect mentor for young dancers.
