I stopped the other evening at this SoCo, as I have for years as a snowbird, and there was ANOTHER argument going on with the lady who runs the register. (The two guys who sometimes work the counter are ok, but she's argumentative.) Something about two customers who bought gas and were asking about a stolen towrope the lady said she might have. The lady behind the counter went ballistic, screaming for no good reason that I could see, while the rest of the place looked on in open mouthed disbelief. The owners are trying to sell the place before the BLM closes Slab City and they lose 90% of their clients, and I hope they're able to.

Everything is overpriced, the place is dirty, and one of the help called me a liar when I said i had been shortchanged. I'm not a liar, I'm a doctor.
