Provided by YP.comAvoid ER if possible. The horror stories vary from having a thumb sewed on backward, dying from aneurysm after being sent home, a doctor causing a man to go blind and nearly dying from spending an absurd amount of time with simple pollyp removal (he found more and kept the patient under for hours longer than he should have)... I have a friend who works in the medical field and lives in Berrien Springs, and had an accident less than five minutes from this hospital and told the Ambulance to take her to Indiana, instead. Although I have had a few successful operation there, and was treated well by my physician's nurses, I would not go for an emergency if I had any choice at all. I did go in (no choice) for heart problems. Response for the first ten minutes was great. After that, pretty much the minute my friend/ride left, I was completely alone for several hours. No one checked on me, I had to disconnect myself to go use the bathroom. My story is nothing compared to most, though.
