Founded by Hubert T. Chandler in 1967 as Chandler Utility Contractors, the company began with a single tractor and cost-effective utility services to the Greenwood, S.C., community. In 1998, it became Chandler Construction Services. The Ninety Six, S.C.-based company has completed more than 500 projects that range from industrial facilities to wastewater treatment plants located throughout Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The company provides ecological awareness, environmental services, industrial development, power generation, residential subdivisions and treatment plant construction services. Its portfolio of industrial, commercial, residential and municipal projects includes the Mitsubishi polyester film facility in Greer, the Donaldson Center in Greenville, the Maxwell Springs subdivision in Greenwood and the East Bay/Calhoun storm water pump station in Charleston, all in South Carolina.
