Provided by YP.comI have taken my son to get a haircut, using an appointment, and had no problem. However, I showed up at 5:15pm this past Tuesday, when the sign says they are open until 6, and they were already closed. No notice saying why, just closed. My issue is that they have a big sign that says walk ins welcome so they shouldn't be closing the doors early if they are slow. I didn't make an appointment because I knew they were open and walk ins allowed.
In my opinion, that is bad business and shows they do not care about us customers. They were strictly thinking of themselves. I can see sending a few barbers home but leaving one or two to cut during the slow time. I was not happy about this.
Outside of this issue, I have not had an issue with the way they cut hair.

Provided by YPmobileFist the place just looks dirty, dust on products and even hair left at the bottom of my chair, but for the price I tried it thinking they were professionals and could do a simple layed cut for me. I was wrong. Granted I get more layers than most, but really? I left with thin stringy ends and and even a chunk from the front had some how been taken out. I've had this happen so many times trying to get layers. Nothing special about this place and won't be going back. If all you want is buzzed and don't care if they use clean combs give it a try.

Provided by YP.comOn October, 29 in the afternoon, I had quite the experience at the Nixa Barber & Style. I took my 15 year old son there to get his hair cut. When I stepped in, the smell of perm was quite strong so I stepped outside during my son’s hair cut. He has described often what type of hair cut he wanted and has had no problems. I looked in through the window and saw he was done so I came back in to pay and I could tell my son was not happy with his hair cut. I noticed it was still a bit long on top so I metioned to the stylist that it was still a bit long so we could have it fixed. The sylist then stated in a very rude tone, “If you are going to critique it then you should stay in here during the hair cut next time.” I then stated the smell was too strong for me so I went outside. First of all, he should not have been rude to a customer and secondly, I should not have to explain myself to him. The stylist fixed the hair cut which took maybe two to three minutes and he was done and I went to pay. I handed him the $15 dollars as he was saying, “I really should charge you $45 for the cut but it will just be $15.” I stated that I would not have paid $45 but was still paying the $15 and he literally threw the $15 dollars back at me and told us to not come back again. I had, of course, already decided never to come back to such a rude establishment anyway, but that is NOT how you treat a customer! I then called the Nixa Barber & Style when I arrived home and asked to speak to the Manager to report the Stylist’s poor behavior. I would want to know if I had someone working for me that was behaving in such a non-professional manor. I think the lady answering the phone simply gave me the same guy and not really the manager. She couldn’t come up with the manager’s name at first until she put me on hold. She then came back and said his name was Mark and then the same rude stylist got on the phone and said, “I really don’t appreciate you calling here. I hope you had a nice experience,” in a sarcastic tone and hung up on me. This is extremely ludicrous, unprofessional, uncalled for behavior from a place of business

Provided by YP.comomg i love that place on Saturday i went in there and the person working the desk was so caring and helpful and so where all the stylist i had a good time visting with the people that work there everyone is so nice even the girl that just works the front desk im so glad i found u guys it is so amazing how bizzy u stay and how helpful u r to everyone.... u for sure have my bisness

I was completely ecstatic about how quickly me and my family of 4 were helped walking in last minute, and how reasonably priced you were. Every stylistist(& receptionist) were so helpful, cheerful, and patient with my kids and and answered any question we had. My family received by far the best haircut my husband, son, and I have ever had and my daughter absolutely loved her color as well. DEFINENTLY made my A-list for a great family salon/barber shop..
