Provided by YP.comHORRIBLE! My father who is 73 years old and has severe COPD was taken to Riverview Hospital by ambulance on Monday March 28, 2011 and Tuesday March 29, 201 for having a extremly low blood suger of 23 and 26 to just be sent home without listening to our other concerns that he was haivng. The ER doctor and staff was absolutely rude and seemed to not care that my father was ill and needed medical attention. So after sending my father home we got him into our famly doctor who sent us directly to Clarian North Hospital in Carmel were he recieved the best treatment from ALL the staff including the doctors. I can't say enough good about this hospital. I will NEVER take my father or anyother member of my family to Riverview Hospital because they are only quailfied for bruises and cuts. If your dying or in critial condition please don't go to Riverview Hospital... It has always been labeled as "Deathview Hospital" over the years and nothing has changed!! Thanks to Clarian North Hospital of Carmel, my father is doing fantastic and coming home soon!

Provided by YP.comI recently had to visit the Riverview ER at 10 pm on a Monday walking in the door in my jammies vomiting into my own hands while my husband parked the car and got our child, the receptionist kept asking me what my last name was. Here I was in the middle of vomiting and you are worried about my last name. How about a trash can or something. I heard her asking someone if they saw me come in with anyone. I saw my husband walking in, and again this lady yelling Sir, Sir. My husband trying to find me a trash can so I did not make a mess all over the floor. Here I am in such pain I could have been dieing and my last name is all she cared about. I will never go back again.

Provided by YP.comI had surgery at Riverview a few years ago and when my dinner came, the nurse put it on a tray and left the tray so far away I couldn't get up to get it. When she was leaving the room, I asked her to put it closer and she told me to do it myself. I had three nurses that were going in and out of my room. Three hours later, the nurse came back into my room and saw the tray where she had placed it. I told her I couldn't get it. She knew I had had major surgery and couldn't move. I told her I'd just ask my doctor for something to eat, as I wasn't given the opportunity to eat. She became very nervous and started asking if I wanted something to eat. I refused and when my husband came in I asked him to get me something. I, of course, told my doctor about the nurses, they were not there to certainly help me. They were very rude, they kept me up at night laughing and talking right outside my room. I hope by now Riverview has changed.

Provided by YP.comI've had three separate surgical procedures at Riverview and I can't praise them enough for the excellent care I received. I've heard some bad stories about Riverview but every nurse I had was an angel to me. My doctors were the best. My recovery was a success story all three time.

Provided by YP.comBEWARE! DO NOT GO TO RIVERVIEW HOSPITAL IN NOBLESVILLE INDIANA!!!. It will be your funeral, my aunt has had to be there and I cannot count on two hands all of the mistakes made. In general lets just get some of the basics out, MOST of the staff Nurses DO NOT wear gloves, they might the first time or two but then they do not. The Nurse today took apart my Aunt's IV tubing (which is a sterile field) with her bare hands, laid the tubing down on the bed cover which is filled with bacteria and staph and MRSA all over that hospital patients are sick with MRSA. They sent her home after her heart attack KNOWING that she had a bowel obstruction, she was having watery loose stools (which is a well known symptom of a bowel obstruction) then she had to go back 24 hours later where they cut her from top to bottom to do exploratory surgery which took 3 hours to take a few inches of intestine out that they could of prevented. They did absolutely no patient education with her as far as heart healthy foods and taking aspirin everyday. They just handed her 10 different scripts and let her go with no way for her to pay for them and no help watsoever. The Nurses in ICU do not have 1 on 1 nursing like ICU in Indy. The ICU nurses and most of the nurses spend all day and evening talking and laughing and complaining and taking their sweet time getting to the patients when they call. Just fyi I would not take my dying dog to Riverview Hospital, so please do not go there and please do not take someone you love there. Now you can't say you weren't warned cuz I just warned you.
