Lisa B. Golan, Attorney at Law practices in metro Atlanta, Georgia and surrounding counties representing employees in cases of employment discrimination and retaliation, including discrimination on the basis of age, disability, national origin, race, religion, and gender and in cases under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Rehabilitation Act, Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and in employment related Georgia tort claims and contract disputes. Ms. Golan served on the Georgia Bar Labor & Employment Advisory Committee that provided input to the 11th Circuit Pattern Jury Instruction Committee with respect to revisions of Employment Related charges and co-chaired the Subcommittee revising the Americans with Disabilities Act instructions.  She is a frequent speaker on the ADA - the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended by the ADAAA - the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008, the FMLA - the Family and Medical Leave Act, and GINA - the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act. Ms. Golan is a member of the Board, Chair of the EEOC Liaison Committee, and Past President of the Georgia affiliate of the National Employment Lawyers Association, a civil rights bar association made up of attorneys whose litigation practices advocate employee rights. Prior to establishing her own office in 1998, she practiced with the former Greene, Buckley, DeRieux & Jones, and then with Rogers & Hardin, LLP in their civil litigation departments. She received her B.A. from Cornell University in 1983 and her J.D. with distinction from Emory University in 1987.
