Dr. Haoxing Chen is a fellowship-trained glaucoma and cataract surgery specialist at Virginia Eye Consultants. Dr. Chen graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland College Park. During his undergraduate years, he served as a research intern at the National Eye Institute and was engaged in ocular genetics research. He then received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Chen completed his Ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and went on to complete a glaucoma fellowship at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit.
