wow this place has changed from what i read all of their comments. i qas there for two years back in 2005. the staff was respectful, playful, and caring. at school we would have three different classes that would teach at three different levels. plus a class for the little kids. we'd do subjects at our levels. we'd go to the unit and was aloud to socialize in many different places on our unit-the girls hallway, and the day unit. we had b-day parties and dances. even holiday parties.
wow this place has changed. why did they ever change to bad and mean staff.

When your child leaves the facility, they will be worse off than they were at admission. They say give 2 week notice if you want to remove your child, and when you do they will call CPS on you. CPS and the hospital are partering together and will plot to remove your children over non-sense.

When you are a patient here, it's like you are being punished for having depression, etc. It's prison-like.The kids are forced to stay in the "day room" for hours at a time, with the only options being to color or do a puzzle. You can tell the staff truly doesn't care. All they care about is getting there pay check. This place is like a factory. The more patients they have the more money they get.My mom was CONSTANTLY trying to be persuaded by my "therapist" to have me put into residential care there because there was a vacancy. They are a FOR PROFIT facility. All they care about is making money. Also, they have minimal food options. As a vegetarian, I ate pb&j every day, every meal. One time, I had a panic attack in there cozy lobby, unlike the rest of the facility which is a dimly lighted, bug infested hell-hole, and the staff,INCLDING THE CEO AND HIS FANCY LADY ASSISSTANT, LAUGHED AT ME and told me to "calm down" in annoyed voices. This place should be investigated by the state, it's inhumane.

This place is nothing more than a money pit. They don't have the children's best interest. They put all levels of children in one room and make unsupervised. They take their shoe laces but use hard plastic ties in their place so they can cut themselves or others with it. They take blood from kids 2 times a day for no reason just so they can bill your insurance. This place should investigated for insurance fraud.

Untrained, unprofessional staff that can only be described as manipulative. Horrible facility, that shows little to no interest in the well being of the patient. This is no place for recovery, I urge you to consider a different facility.

Horrible

They advertise that they accept ages 4 and up but when my 4 year old needed help they refused him even though he had referrals from the best physiatrists in the state! Shame on you!
