Mediation Arbitration Services of Virginia, LLC ( MAS ) was created in 1999 to serve and train professionals throughout Virginia in the use of alternative dispute resolution and conflict management MAS' founder, Paul L. Warren, is a practicing trial attorney licensed in Virginia, District of Columbia, and Maryland. Mr. Warren has employed alternative dispute resolution in his practice since the late 1980s. In 1992, Mr. Warren was certified as a mediator by the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, where he handled numerous court-appointed cases Mr. Warren moved to Hampton Roads in the late 1990s, was certified as a mediator by the Supreme Court of Virginia in 1999, and is currently certified to receive court-referred cases in both general and family matters in all Virginia Courts Since 2001, Mr. Warren has served as the Director of Old Dominion University's Certificate Program in Conflict Management MAS' services range from individual case mediation, arbitration, and evaluation to customized in-house training in alternative dispute resolution and conflict management MAS also provides consulting services to select corporations and is available to review and edit employment practices, conduct case-specific negotiations, and preside over internal aspects of mergers and other business transitions.
