HSCI is a great place to go when looking for an addition to your family! They take such good care of the animals, and know so much about their individual personalities. My family has gotten a few dogs from them, and whenever I see one of the staff members they always ask how they're doing! They're all very nice and havea true passion for helping animals! And to the other reviewer I saw on here, FIP is extremely hard to diagnose until it is too late, there is no way that HSCI could have known. They have all their animals evaluated for health by a veterinarian.

I wouldn't get an animal from here again. I got a kitten from the Humane Society and everything was going great! Until about 2 months later his health rapidly declined. I ended up taking him to the emergency vet in Bloomington and they told me he had FIP a FATAL disease transmitted from cat to cat commonly found in animal shelters! The kitten was the only cat in our household and was never exposed to other cats after leaving the Humane Society. He passed away less than 5 hours later. HEARTBREAKING.
