The customer service at this YMCA is appalling and it comes from the top down. The After School Children's program is absolutely horrible. The do not watch the children, the director is completely obnoxious and there are children there who are constantly in trouble and harassing other children, yet if you complain, they begin to harass you and your children. It is an unsafe environment for children. It is also not well kept. The pool is often not available and the facility is run down and not kept very clean. I highly recommend avoiding this YMCA.

My family and I are not at all impressed with this YMCA. I've been to just about every Y facility in the greater okc metro area, including Edmond and Stillwater, and I have never encountered such horrible customer service. It's definitely a management issue. Overall, the plentiful staff are rude and unhelpful. It's really a shame because it is such a nice facility.

My child was in this program. I returned early one day to find the kids running unsupervised all through the building. I found my son in the Men's locker room. The kids did not seem happy in this program. Many were crying asking for their mothers while some of the staff seemed to feel indifferent. I spoke to the director of this place. Told me he dares me to criticize the way he is running the place and if I didn't like it I was free to take myself and son somewhere else. I never went back after this. AVOID AVOID

Like most reviewers, I was horribly unimpressed with the facilities at this YMCA. The women's locker rooms were decently clean, but the pool was FILTHY. I cannot stress this enough. The pool was absolutely DISGUSTING. While swimming laps one morning, my hand got caught in a massive gob of hair. When looking at the bottom of the pool, there were literally masses of hair floating on the bottom and the top of the water. The tile on the sides of the pool is slick with slime and sludge. No joke, the grout in between the tiles is filled with mold and mildew. I understand that there is a high volume of people that frequent the YMCA, but the pool is unacceptable. It needs to be drained and CLEANED. And if the filters are so old in need of repair that they can't filter hair, then they need to be replaced. I've worked at two YMCAs and one aquatic facility, both of which had high volumes of bathers. It is NOT impossible to keep a pool clean, if not pristine. They simply do not clean. AVOID

Place is dirty black mold growing on parts of floor near men’s locker room. Place smells. Addressed my concerns to a Mr. Joe Paslay who is the director of the place. Told me that he dares me to question his ability to oversee the place and that if I didn’t like the way he runs the place that I could take my business somewhere else. I did just that

This place is THE worst YMCA that I have been in. I have been on job related duties here in the area for over a year now. My experience has not been good. The place could be a lot cleaner. The pool has globs of hair and skin popping to the surface that swimmers get entangled in while swimming.The pool tiles have mold growing into them around the pool area. The locker room is filthy. I have seen head lice in some of the lockers. You tell the front desk, they tell you that you need to put in a comment card in. You do and no one ever gets back to you. You then ask to talk to the director someone named Paslay who tells you he doesn't want to hear from you and is rude. You learn that some members and staff alike tell you he is a bully and don't like to deal with him because they value their jobs. I have found better choices that are in the neighborhood. I have ran into members who I seen at the YMCA nd they are happy they are no longer at that one

I would never refer any of my family and friends to go here. If I had known how terrible they were I never would have gone. Every time I've called and left a message, I've never heard back. It's extremely annoying. The staff here is so rude and unfriendly! I felt absolutely invisible! I would advise everyone I know to avoid this place! I refuse to step foot back in there. Every time they left the room, the staff would immediately begin complaining about how much they disliked working there. It made me nervous, and I didn't go back. I heard the director of this place talk horrible and degrade members. His screaming at members could often be heard around the building.
