My husband and I have been renting an apartment with this management for almost a year. Carlos, (landlord) is to be put nicely, a slumlord. And we are generally very nice down to earth people and usually try to see the best in everyone. He doesn't secure a lease and has just kicked us out for no reason, we are quiet, planted flowers like he wanted, made improvements to the unit, and always have paid rent on time in full. A couple months after moving in we had a major leak in our bathroom and apartment that lasted for 3 weeks. During the winter, the heat should legally be 68.. It was about 45 and heat is "included" in the rent...we found that two radiators had been purposely turned off so to "balance" out the heat in the apartments. Just last week we had our sewage, and pipes backed up into our bathtub and then the water would not drain, he wouldn't get his plumber (that works for Carlos as a side job) and sent drano. I left it for hours and then began inhaling it because it leaked.
