If given the option and available funds, a choice between Dragon Garden and Quan's Kitchen which is a few blocks further down right on Rt 1, hands down to Quan's. I do have a weekly ritual where I go to Dragon Garden for lunch once a week. For the most part it is pretty good, otherwise, why would I keep going. It is reasonably priced and I usually get an extra wings that are usually pretty good. You get more fried rice than any one person can eat, but I just usually put that in the fridge and have it with something else later. So portions are large. I usually order the same thing mainly because my one foray into trying something else was a big disappointment. Maybe I was spoiled by Quan's Lake Tung Ting Shrimp, but Dragon Garden's version was bland, watery, and lacking any of the flavor pop that you get from Quan's. Dragon Garden offers good food at a reasonable price and with good service, though I usually only get take out. If you have the money and want linen table cloths and nice plates and silver, plus sushi, go to Quan's.
One other thing that I am not a big fan of is the Chicago noodles. Growing up in the Fall River area, we were used to the Fall River noodles made over on Eight Street that all the restaurants used. These were a darker, flat noodle, more like a low mein noodle but fried. If you get down to Fall River, you have to have a Chow Mein sandwich. The unfortunate part is that once you get away from Fall River, you are stuck with those round pretzel stick type noodles. Fall River, also has the darker chow mein sauce, while most in this area use the white sauce. I guess it is what you grew up with. I just can't have the chow mein around here as it tastes more like onion soup with crackers in it. Not aimed directly at Dragon Garden, but just seems like I can't get a good chow mein outside of Fall River. I guess I have to make a trip down to Eighth Street in Fall River and pick up a bag of noodles and sauce mix. (These can also be bought at Shaws under the Hoo Mei name near the Chinese food section. Look for the yellow box.)

Good Food, I like their combo plates. D11 with beef teriyaki , chicken fingers and spareribs is my choice!

The Best Chinese Restaurant in the area

Food is excellent. We used to live the next town over and would very frequently go here. Now we live about 10 miles away and we go out of our way to go here, because we cannot find one in the area that compares at all.
