I remember growing up close to Coos Bay/North Bend, and this was one of the classy joints to eat at. So when my boyfriend and our friends were trying to decide somewhere nice to eat we thought we'd give it a try. Pulling up, they thought it looked more like a adults only club. Walking in it looked nice, but after that everything was just... off. The fake candles I don't think allow you to price every dish over $20. (Besides the appetizers of course, but all pasta's and entree's were well over this amount) I love calamari, and didn't even think to ask if it was strips, as in a place declared fine dining I suppose I just expected tentacles. They were rubbery, but being fried food we handled them nicely. The salads had plenty of goodies surrounding the plate, but nothing that sold to me on looks or an out of ordinary salad. It was something I could buy at the deli pre-wrapped ready to go. The pasta's were extremely saucy. The other lady and I at the table both admitted to horrendous stomach aches about halfway through the meal. The waitress was hardly there (despite only 2 other tables in there, none of us hardly saw her.. I think she was running the (much busier) lounge??) The busser dropped things at our table twice, and was just extremely jittery. Finally we got two cheesecake orders, which although great cheesecake, were not even close enough to save the evening. Especially when we got our bill of $100. None of us drink, so all this was was one appetizer and 3 entree's. (Came with soup/salad), and two desserts.



Lousy service, terrible food, outrageous prices, tacky atmosphere. Will NEVER go back. Don't know if something changed since I was a kid, or if I had just heard wrong. Maybe it was an off night, but don't know how that place can stay in business. Must be something exciting happening in the lounge.

FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. SERVICE COULD BE BETTER. WHAT'S THE HURRY? FINE DINING TAKES A LITTLE LONGER & IS MEANT TO BE ENJOYED LEISURELY.

Long long long wait for food. Take a sack lunch with you.
