I have always loved Thrift stores. You can fine the best junk and some actually have decent prices. I had drove by the South Coast Hospice many times since moving to Coos Bay/North Bend, OR and I always wanted to go into it but never had a free chance. I made time yesterday to go in - just to browse. This store was AMAZING! I have NEVER seen a thrift store so well organized, clean, fashionable, beautiful and .... basically looking like a JC Penny's store. When I first saw the inside, I have to admit I was a bit over whelmed and lost - everything had a place, and I had no problems trying to find anything but I thought, with a store this nice the prices would be very high. I almost didn't want to look anymore. Still, I managed to keep looking around and then I got brave enough to start looking at prices. Being a single mommy with state income can be very hard, so finding a good place to shop that has a great selection, great prices and items that are good quality is very important since I cannot afford the more pricey stores that I feel my kids deserve... It's also very hard to find such a store, especially on the West Coast! After venturing out and looking at prices I saw it was just the opposite of what I had expected. I did go in during a 2 day sale but even without the sale prices, everything was so well priced I wanted to cry! - I had just went to GoodWill down the road, first and spent 90$ on clothes for my toddler and my baby that will soon be here... I wish I hadn't but I know now I will never go to another thrift store in the Coos Bay/North Bend area without going to the South Coast Hospice first - If they don't have it and for the right price... I probably won't find it!
