17000.00 for bamboo flooring and tile.

this is a new home in a new development.



The end floor panels in every room have exposed surface nails. some middle panels had nails that did not go in straight and were exposed. we fought them to come replace the incorrectly installed panels. this was done July 2008. after months of emails and phone calls they finally sent someone out (Feb 2009) after we sent a chapter 93a letter. they pulled up some of the panels we pointed out and used liquid nails to put the new panels down. The instructions that came with the bamboo flooring specifically said to not use liquid nails. somehow after they replaced the wood they also damaged almost all of the baseboard trim and left it like that for me to find.

We then went to a different contractor for repair estimates and sent them to Talty.

We requested that he reimburse us for this work. He denied the request and only sent

a check for the baseboard that was damaged and it did not include labor needed to cut, paint and install.

2 months ago March 2010 the tiles they installed in the kitchen started to come up.

they were forced by the builder to come out and replace them. They sent 2 people to replace the tiles and 2 weeks later more tiles started to come up. we have not heard back since.17000.00 for bamboo flooring and tile.
