We have a 94 Isuzu Trooper that needed a new starter, we had one installed in February 2012 by a mechanic. (the starter was purchased from O'Reilly Auto) That starter stopped working in October 2013..We brought it to O'Reilly Auto in North Branch-MN because it was under warranty. They agreed to replace it and had the part delivered to the Mechanic who was installing it for us. After the part was installed the mechanic called and told us that we had been given a defective starter and should come listen to the loud noise it makes at starting. The mechanic advised us to contact O'Reillys and have them replace it again since it wasn't working properly. At O'Reillys the salesman who assisted us said that there was nothing they could do and that we should continue to drive the truck until the starter fails to turn the engine over. We can't afford to cause anymore damage to our truck and feel that this auto parts store failed us miserably with defective parts, poor customer service and not honoring the warranty on products sold. We have already paid the mechanic all that we can afford to for his two hours of labor. We feel that O'Reilly's should replace the starter and pay the mechanic's labor to install a replacement "New" starter, since we should not be faced with this cost (a 2nd Time) due to a defective starter that they sent to the mechanic ! This has been an experience that customers should never have to go through. If O'Reilly's in North Branch-MN does not change their decision and back up their warrantied parts, we will do our utmost to spread the word about the poor parts, service/sales staff and their suggestion to drive the truck until the part fails to work at all. Word of mouth can spread like wildfire !!! Wake up O'Reilly's and fix this problem. Signed: A Very Dissatisfied Angry Customer !

My car seemed to be fine as I drove "up north". After I got "up north" disturbing problems began. When the car began to make loud, screeching noises, I began to get scared. Will my car make it home without repairs? Probably not. I tried to find an auto repair shop that was open on a Saturday night. No luck. Then I happened to spot the O'Reilly auto parts store which was still open. It was the right thing to do. They were truly Good Samaritans and gave me a lot of assistance. They let me use their phone to make numerous phone calls, and made arrangements for me to get the car repaired over the weekend instead of having to wait until Monday. If they had not gone above and beyond the call of duty, I would have been stuck there until Monday.
