Provided by YP.comI have been fighting with Aspen Dental for 2 months trying to get them to bill me correctly. They have been overcharging me 3-4 times the amount my insurance carrier says I should be paying. They are an in network provider for the insurance company. I have nothing but nice things to say about the dental staff, but the billing department is terrible and have not idea what they are doing.

Provided by YP.comThey don't value your time at all. I went in for a simple check up. I arrived 20 mins early to fill out my new patient paperwork. After 30 past my appt time I asked how much longer and was told it would not be much longer. I walked out the door after an hour and ten mins. They couldn't care less. They never said a word to me about the wait. They never called to apologize for wasting my time!

Provided by YP.comI am a night time tooth grinder who is 48 years old. My front teeth are wearing to the point of chipping my front tooth. I felt very sad every time I looked in the mirror and I noticed that I had developed a new habit of not smiling.
I went to Aspen Dental, Dr. Healey was my dentist.
Initially, because I have been tortured by dentists in the past, I was curt, rude and obnoxious. I do feel a bit silly about it now.
It seems that my dental fears made polite communications challenging, at best.
In spite of my attitude Dr. Healey and his staff were very professional and polite. He did a lovely job repairing my chipped front tooth, his dental assistant matched the color perfect. No one can tell! To top it off Dr. Healey even went the extra mile and filed down the surrounding teeth to make them even and give me a beautiful smile.
My attitude must have made going above and beyond difficult, but still Dr. Healey went the extra mile and I left smiling. I have not left a dentist office smiling since 2008.
Thank you Dr. Healey and the staff at Aspen Dental on Rivers Ave. in North Charleston.

Provided by YP.comFound Aspen Dental on Google where it rated it 4.8 Stars. However, when I scheduled an appointment I was very impressed with the lady who scheduled me, being that I wasn't going to go to a Dental office who didn't accept Medicaid because I'm still in the process of getting my Tricare-Dental renewed. I have never, in my 25 years have had to call back to confirm a dental appointment. My appointment was always guaranteed unless I called and canceled. Especially being that I called that Monday to schedule an appointment for that Wednesday in the same week. I went to my appointment today, walked in, the place smelled of mold, there was some older white lady dressed in rags chanting at the front desk lady about insurance and why something was not covered by insurance. I checked in, gave the front desk my new patient paperwork, signed in, the lady checked me in and I began to wait. I waited 30 minutes until the front desk Hispanic lady decided to inform me that my appointment had been double booked because I didn't call back to "Confirm". She called me Tuesday night at 7pm. I don't know about most of you, but at that time during the day I am getting my daughter a bath and tucked in for bed. I found this location highly unprofessional and not hygienic. I will never return. Disgusting...

Provided by YP.comI would NEVER refer my best friend or even my worst enemy to this dentist. My dentist was Dr. Marquez and I had 4 extractions on the same day. They offer NO gas but I was prescribed 4 valium to take the night before and the day of my extractions. Dr. Marquez was extremely impatient with me even knowing this was my very first extraction and that I made very clear that I was nervous. I felt humiliated because I needed to "toughen up" according to the dr. I was treated like I was an inconvenience to him and after the extractions, he never said a word to me and just walked out. My husband was in the lobby waiting for me and they sent me out to him crying, so upset that I was shaking and with blood still gushing out of my mouth and all over my clothes. The staff was "bothered" that he went back to them to get me more gauze and to ask for help cleaning me up while I was in the bathroom trying to control the bleeding. I also requested something for pain after the extraction and was told to take Ibuprofen. I never heard back from the dr. nor the staff to even check on me afterwards. I realize that this a dental office and they may not be used to patients that have qualms about pain or extractions; I actually have a high tolerance to pain but when it comes to my mouth, it's different. I was treated like I didn't matter and they were just glad I was gone. I have made sure NO ONE I know goes to this dentist because of the extremely unprofessionalism towards their patients. I felt and still feel very unimportant to them and will NEVER go back.
