Provided by YP.comDuring the sale process everyone was friendly. We purchased Sena bluetooth for our helmets. One boom mike didn't work. Took it back. They agreed it didn't work but did nothing to fix it. When we insured our bike, we discovered that our insurance carrier put Gap insurance on the bike. We have been trying to get Charleston Power Sports to cancel the Gap insurance purchased at the time sale since June 1st. It is now September 7th. Lastly, when it was time for our 500 mile service they could not get to it for weeks. We scheduled the appointment, then proceeded to try and find someone else to do the service, We found another dealer that would do it. We called and cancelled the appointment. They called and then said they could get us in for the service. Too late. They screwed up getting our license plate. Another issue we had to resolve because they couldn't or wouldn't. We will NEVER buy anything else from this place!!!!

Provided by YP.comBLUF: I wouldn't trust them to fix a childs pedal tricycle.
I was involved in a motorcycle accident in April and took the bike to them for an estimate and decided to have them do the repairs. About a month and a half later- not an issue with the time as I couldn't ride - I show up to pick up the bike - they put the wrong damn color front end on the bike. I point that out and they say oops - but they will get the correct part ordered to make it right. I get home that night and give the bike a thorough going over and cant believe what I see - the turn signals were on upside down - custom parts, so it could happen....but then I realize they replaced the wrong damn side plastics...REALLY??!! After a bit on the phone they order the new parts to make things right - again. Get the bike home AGAIN, everything looks good. I start taking it apart to service the fluids and go over it and my god, king kong has tightened the fairing bolts, STRIPPING one of the bolts. NEVER AGAIN

Provided by YP.comThe most important aspect of a company to me is customer service, and Charleston Powersports has it. Everyone was very friendly, not pushy, and more than willing to answer any questions that I had. When I first called their I thought that I was going to rushed over the phone, but I was pleasantly surprised to find just the opposite. The only snag I had was that I was told I would receive a notification via email when my parts came in which I did not. I did give my email address and number to the person on the phone but it somehow did not get recorded. I called a couple times to check and see if my parts were in, and each time I was answered with a friendly voice. When I did go to pick up my parts, which were received in a very timely fashion, I was asked again for my information which I gave. I was also granted an apology for the miscommunication. I received an email from Charleston Powersports after my purchase thanking me for my business. As a manager of a large operation myself, my professional opinion would suggest that Charleston Powersports is a very well managed facility. I will definitely be returning with all of my future business, and I will most definitely refer them to any friend of mine. Well done guys!!

Provided by YP.comThis group is "SUPER".... My wife and I decided to sell the Yamaha motorcycle '07 V-Star and buy a jet ski for the kids. The 1st time there we were on a fact finding mission, (no sales pressure at this store). The salesman listened to what we wanted and then showed several that were in our price range. The 2nd time I had my trade with me and they looked over my motorcycle and told me that they were sure we could make a deal. We went back a week later and made the deal.
It all went so smooth. We love our new Seadoo GTX. The service there is "Right On".
Thanks Guys!

Provided by YP.comCharleston Powersports is honestly one of the worst places I have ever attempted to do business. Initially, I took a friends Suzuki there after looping it out in order to get it repaired-after seeing their quote (which note was 30% higher than the quote that came from Velocity) a sales person brought up the idea of buying a new bike and they would buy the wrecked bike off me for $1000. The 3 of us sat down, picked out a bike in their showcase, he worked out the math, checked my paystubs, and told me financing would be no problem. I even went ahead and put $500 down. He told me to come back the following day onec the banks had responded. When I returned, the gentleman wasn't there but their General Manager was, and we talked, and he told me I would not be financed without a cosigner. Not a problem. I have a cosigner. Then he told me he would give me $300 for my bike. I told him we agreed on 1000. He told me I was lying because no salesperson would tell me that. I told him I had a witness! His face began getting red, began stumbling over his words, and wouldn't budge the issue. Bottom Line...DO NOT GO HERE! Oh and that $500 down payment...well I still haven't seen that get credited back yet.
Hello, my name is Gordon and I am the GM at CPS and I have not read such a large amount of hog-wash in 26 years in the business. This is a fabricated story, quite possibly distorted in some vindictive action, but none of which is true. There never was a $1000 trade worth $300 that we have seen here in over a year and a wrecked bike I would recall. Even if this fabrication held any water at all, we could always over-allow $700 to put a deal together for a qualified buyer, which sounds like another possible element to the matter here. This person is either disgruntled for another reason, or frustrated on their own finance incapability issues, or that they needed more down-payment than a wrecked trade. ….or is even maybe a competitor (which I doubt). There is more to this story. I will say, no customer has ever made my face red while I offer our best deal, or strategically structure the deal to get them financed with their new dream-bike, on their behalf, work hard to get then financed, and back it while I offer to beat any other dealer's written deal by $100. You must have found a bottom line you were okay with if we submitted for financing. But most of all, no matter where, and if, you purchased anything at all, ride safe and don't be so mad at others when it is apparent your wrecked bike and finance capability problems are most likely the root of the issue. I hope you got your money back because it sounds like you were probably not eligible at any of our primary or secondary lenders, and it diminished everyone's effort to help you. The unfortunate thing is that we help people just like you everyday and 1 in 100 will be mad at us for their own shortcomings. I will finish this by saying that if you truly exist, a $500 deposit received in this company means you signed an agreed upon buyers order and completed a credit application for the balance of the deal, based 100% on your personal approval. What was on the deal, $300 on the trade or $1000? So, that it itself proves you are a fabricator, possibly an un-truther. On the same hand, a return of $500 would happen if you were not at all financable, which is the most probable. We give you your down-dollars if we cannot get reasonable finance terms for you. As for the storyteller above, I invite you to contact me directly about your deposit so that I can verify your funds were returned if you were not finance capable. Or I invite you to contact me for any reason at all so we can get on good terms. If you have issues other than this one or would like to address the issue with us, contact me, I am willing to hear you and make things right through a better understanding. If there is any truth to this at all, bring yourself forward. I will carry on a guaranteed, non-red-in-the-face, conversation with you and we can get to the bottom of the matter right away.. My contact info is enclosed and all over our website.
