I stayed there for 6 months until I could get a better place. Even though the rent was less because it was a subsidized apartment, it was NOT worth it. I am a paraplegic in a wheelchair and was told I was getting a Handicapped Accessible apartment, but after signing the lease I found they lied to me; it was a regular apartment not one of the Handicapped Accessible ones. Also, I was told I could not move out of my apartment even if an Accessible apartment came free. After moving in I found about the dangerous men who lived in the apartments that were rented by their girlfriends, who listed limited incomes in order to qualify. Groups gathered outside drinking and smoking and throwing trash all over. We found dirty baby diapers and rotted food scattered across the parking lot. One morning I found a man in my apartment. I was trapped in my bed while he calmly pointed his fingers at me like a gun and laughed. He stole my laptop and left. The police found no trace of him. He was probably a resident. The management refused to fix my door locks, saying it was my problem. Stay away from these apartments. They are nothing but trouble.
