Friends Academy, located in Dartmoor, Mass., is a coeducational independent day school. The school offers enrollment for more than 250 students in prekindergarten through grade eight. Its curriculum includes English, Spanish, science, mathematics, social studies, art, music, computer technology and physical education. The school organizes events, such as music man, autumn fest, summer concert, adventure in reading and golf tournaments. It organizes community service activities, such as food for the poor, fund-raisers for Hurricane Katrina victims, and coat drive to benefit the New Bedford child and family program. The school offers financial aid to qualified students, based on their families needs. Friends Academy is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools.
