BFPC reserves the right to refuse boarding to any pet which we feel may be disruptive to our other guests or uncontrollable by our staff. Some of those dogs might be: females in their heat cycle; dogs who bark 24 hours/day (which typically leads to stress induced diarrhea); dogs that suffer from severe separation anxiety and aggressive pets tend to make for a stressful environment and are also at risk for injuring themselves or others. We take great pride in having our guests enjoy a relaxing atmosphere while here. Many dogs, whom the owners thought would be disruptive, turned out to be absolutely wonderful guests in our relaxed environment. Please call us to discuss your individual situation.

We made reservations to board ...

We made reservations to board our Westie two weeks ago as we were going on vacation. When we arrived to drop her off the day of our departure we informed the man that we had taken her to the vet two days ago to have her looked at because she was walking strange. The vet looked her over and just told us to keep an eye on her. The kennel operator very sternly said "I can't board her". Apparently they have a policy that they will not take any animal if they had visited the vet within 14 days. Ridiculous! What about the pets that he takes in that are sick and haven't been to a vet?

He was unapologetic, said it's his policy and it's posted on his door. Forget the fact that he never mentioned that to me when I called to make the reservation.

Now we're stuck with trying to find a kennel at the last minute. I will NEVER go back there nor would I recommend them to any friend.
