In my on-going quest for the best pizza in town, I went to Bella Mia's tonight. I've driven past them for years but had never gone in.

The place is very clean and has a warm atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. The wait was not very long.
I ordered an appetizer of Garlic knots and a Meat lover’s pizza. The appetizer appeared soon enough with the pizza right behind it. I’ve never understood why most Italian restaurants do that. An appetizer by its very nature should be first, with the main course following when the appetizer is finished. Of course, that might just be me. I was very disappointed with the garlic knots as they were burnt both top and bottom and I don’t mean a little singed, but black, (see photos), what I could eat from around the incinerated parts was very tasty. If I owned a restaurant and people were giving me money for my cooking? I would never send something like that out. I’ve worked as a baker for years and they really should have started over with it.
