Provided by YP.comI have been taking lessons from Laurie Robinson at the Southern California Piano Academy for almost a year now and I love it. I've always wanted to play the piano, but I had convinced myself that it would be too difficult for me to learn. So, when I went in for my first lesson with Laurie I expected her to tell me I had no aptitude for the instrument and should move on. She proved me wrong. With her skillful guidance and overwhelming support she showed me not only was I able to play the piano, but I was quite good at it. The months since then have been amazing. She's able to read my level of progress each week and work with me on improving my skills and pushing me further. On occasion, when Laurie is unavailable, I have had the pleasure to work with other instructors; Emmanuel Fratianni, Hasmik Avagyan, and Dan Martinez. They are all skilled musicians and instructors in their own right. I can't say enough good things about Laurie and the Academy. If you've ever dreamt of learning the piano then you need to check out the Southern California Piano Academy. The instructors are top notch and they truly care about their students. They give you the support you want and the push you need to succeed.

Provided by YP.comI have been an advanced student in jazz piano studies at the school for the last 2 years. I am grateful to be able to find a seasoned veteran performer/recording artist who is also an consumate instructor in my area. I would highly recommend not only for advanced students but also beginners and intermediate, plus composers & songwriters. Rates for lessons are very competitive and don't reflect the caliber of the teacher you are actually getting, which is much higher. See their website for instructor CVs. Highly recommend.

Provided by YP.comVery high quality instructors and curriculum. Very personable/patient/kind teachers. My kids' progress is far more advanced here than the previous local music school we were attending in the area at and also the private teacher I had come to the home. Rates are very reasonable considering the pedigree of the faculty. Very nice to have a high quality "community" music school in the neighborhood, which we didn't expect. I appreciate the Recitals (twice a year) and multiple masterclass available so they can know their "peer group"--a BIG motivator. Also my kids can participate in the national music CAPMT evaluations every year, which I appreciate. Very close to Burbank.
