STAY AWAY!!!! Made a move across the country with one of the big name moving companies. My arrangements were contracted out to Sierra. It all started when my rep stopped contacting me so I was then forced to hunt him down. Once he was reached, he told me he was no longer employed by the company. THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP. He then referred me to a different agent in the company who maintained zero communication with me. As an example, never called when pickup was supposed to happen, and never called once the load was in transit or assigned. In fact, the only time I received a phone call was to be told my delivery would be late. REALLY??!!! In fact, the driver kept better tabs with me than anyone else. Unfortunately, much of the phone call was to inform me that a lot of my stuff had been broken by the pickup/storage company, Sierra Moving Systems, so he would be held liable for the damage. Once delivered, remember late, I could not believe what I had seen. My dining room table, bedroom dresser mirror(which they packed), a tv, and my BBQ grill were all broken. I mean, how the hell do you break a stainless steel BBQ grill??? Anyway, they managed to pull it off. Lastly, even the guys who unloaded the truck mentioned to me that this was the worst packing they'd ever seen and that I should file numerous claims for the damage. Oh, and did I mention, I tipped these guys. Being in the service business myself, I tipped them pretty well also. I repeat, STAY AWAY!!!!! They're not the only gig in town.
