I love Dr Petrokas and staff!

This office needs work! It was dirty, everything seemed very dated. There was a medicine bottle left out on the counter and a pill beside it! The ladys at the front were friendly but the dentist did not give much time or attention to my toddler, was in and out within 2 minutes. There is nothing about this place that makes it friendly for children of any age.

DO NOT GO HERE. I never write reviews, but I had to for this one! First off, both the dentist and the miserable office woman told me that with my insurance, I would only be paying a few hundred dollars for 4 front crowns since I needed them badly. I asked them several times if they were sure and got the same response. I went all the way through the ropes (and my temporary crowns are AWFUL by the way- like Austin Powers Yellow!), and the horrible office woman calls me 1 hour and 50 minutes before my final appointment telling me I will need to pay $3800 and I should call Care Credit if I don't have it today since they need payment before they put my real crowns on. WHAT?! I then called my insurance company whom said that I only owed $2400 out of pocket (which I was still very displeased about, but I have no choice but to pay it- or live with horrible hillbilly temporary crowns!). I went to the office for my appointment. The awful office lady calls me to the window in front of a room full of people and demands that I pay $3800, refused to call the insurance company (even though I had shared the information I got this morning with her), and just completely embarrassed me in front of a room full of people. This infuriated me! We argued and I left. Upon my return home, I again called my insurance company, which AGAIN told me the same information... Refresh Dental in North Lima could not charge me anything over $2400. Apparently the office woman does not know how to read insurance determinations or is plain old trying to rip people off. She is an awful, rude and lazy woman whom did nothing but argue with me. I can't say enough bad about her. Meanwhile, Dr. Petrakos has the personality of a door knob. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!

Horrible doesn't even begin to describe this dentist! I had a lot of cavities in my mouth but I figured they weren't that bad, I've seen worse. So I went to this dentist and he looked inside my mouth for a second and just straight up told me I needed dentures. And I'm only 21. He told me the insurance would pay for everything and he scheduled for me to get all my teeth pulled. I later cancelled the appointment and found out my insurance denied it because all my teeth weren't bad. I then went to Dowell Dentistry in Carrollton and he fixed them all, without dentures. This dentist does not know what he's doing. I only gave him one star because that's the least you can give.
